I started eating healthier foods, lifting weights, and surrounding myself with supportive people and done being more positive with myself. Fitness would be a huge a part of my transition from coping with depression to living an existence I really like. I really like the way it makes me feel, and i am a much better person all around.
Sometimes visiting the gym when you are feeling a little down or stressed is the last thing you feel like doing, so something fun-like putting on good music and dancing, watching a hip-hop tutorial online, or getting outdoors-is usually my go-to.
I love nuts, chia seed pudding, and smoothies. I also love getting seaweed wrappers and filling all of them with squeezed lemon, avocado, cottage type cheese, chicken or fish, lettuce, and tomato.
When you feel like eating something which is not so healthy, think about what it’s you want. Would you like the short-term pleasure of eating junk food or the long-term satisfaction to be truly happy and healthy? However i do believe in allowing yourself to feel that which you feel. If you’re having a bad day, it’s OK. If you think crying, then get it done. If you prefer a treat, get it. Just do not let yourself to live there.
The best way we are able to truly be happy would be to stop comparing ourselves to other people, to understand what we’ve got and to believe being unique rocks !.
